Universal Darwinism:
The path of knowledge
Available from Amazon
Universal Darwinism is placed
on a firm theoretical foundation derived from
information theory.
It is argued that the
existence of complex entities including quantum
systems, biology, neural based behaviors and
culture, depend on the exploitation of loopholes
in the second law of thermodynamics. Exploiting
these loopholes requires knowledge of the causes
and opportunities in the system's environment.
Only through using this
knowledge are systems able to reduce their own
entropy through shifting an offsetting amount to
their environments.
Mathematically knowledge is
created through the process of Bayesian
inference and I argue that Darwinian processes
are a physical process capable of performing
Bayesian inference.
